Ranchi Farmers Benefit from ICAR's New Biochar Initiative

In Ranchi, Agriculture Minister Shaili Neha Tirki recently visited the ICAR campus, where she also inaugurated a new bio-mass gasifier and biochar production unit. Minister Tirki emphasized the importance of farmers becoming aware and empowered, stating that they can play a key role in strengthening village panchayats. ICAR is focused on adapting to climate change by improving crop selection and yields, providing farmers with training and support. Approximately 300 farmers benefitted from the ICAR campus's अनुसूचित tribal project and National Agricultural Development Scheme, receiving agricultural supplies. The Cooperation Department's 5 Apex Societies are working to ensure farmers' products reach the right markets.
