Jharkhand Sees Record Tax Collection of ₹22,172.56 Crore in FY 2024-25

The Jharkhand government has recorded its highest-ever tax collection since the state’s formation. A total of ₹22,172.56 crore was collected from various tax sources, marking an increase of ₹1,097.21 crore compared to the previous fiscal year (₹21,075.35 crore in FY 2023-24).

GST Collection: ₹8,905.44 crore
CGST Collection: ₹5,251.29 crore
GST Compensation from the Centre: ₹35.74 crore
💰 Non-GST Tax Revenue: ₹7,980.09 crore
VAT Collection: ₹6,518.43 crore
JPT (Jharkhand Professional Tax): ₹100.42 crore
JED (Jharkhand Electricity Duty): ₹1,361.24 crore
Target Still Not Achieved
Despite record collections, the state government fell short of its ₹26,000 crore revenue target for FY 2024-25, achieving only 85.28% of the goal. However, online revenue collection will continue until March 31, which may slightly improve the total figures.
