Ramgarh to Host State-Level Football Tournament
The ‘Kelo Jharkhand’ Under-19 Football Tournament will be inaugurated on September 19th in Ramgarh district. State Program Officer and nodal officer, Dhiren Soren, inspected the preparations on Thursday. He visited Sidhu-Kanhu Maidan, Radha Govind University sports ground, DAV sports ground Rappara Project, and Chowney Football Ground, gathering information on player arrangements and food. A meeting was held with the committee’s nodal officer, members, coaches, and referees, providing crucial directions. 24 teams – 12 boys and 12 girls – in the under-19 category have arrived in Ramgarh. Boy's team and technical officials are accommodated at Gandhi Memorial Plus Two High School, Ramgarh, while the girls are housed at Radha Govind University. The tournament aims to provide players with opportunities in recruitment programs like Agniveer and the Army. The first-time event will be inaugurated with the presence of local representatives, the DC, and SP.
