Ranchi Court Addresses RERA Vacancies

The Ranchi High Court recently dismissed a public interest case concerning vacant positions within the Jharkhand Real Estate Regulatory Authority (RERA). Chief Justice MS Ramachandra Rao presided over the hearing. The court accepted the state government's response, stating that the process to fill the roles of RERA president, educational officer, and member will be completed within four months. The case was initiated with concerns about the lack of leadership and oversight within RERA, which is responsible for regulating the real estate sector in Jharkhand. Currently, 66 cases remain pending due to these vacancies.
