Ranchi Prepares for Independence Day Celebrations
Ranchi Gears Up for Independence Day
Ranchi is buzzing with preparations for Independence Day! Secretary Alka Tiwari has directed officials to ensure timely arrangements for the celebrations. Considering the rainy weather, she’s emphasized completing all necessary tasks ahead of schedule to avoid delays in the flag-raising ceremonies.
The main events will take place in Morhabबादी Park and Dumka Police Lines. The Chief Minister will raise the flag in Ranchi, and the Governor will do so in Dumka. The Secretary has instructed officials to strictly adhere to protocol during the national anthem performance and to ensure a smooth flow of operations.
Specific preparations include creating a temporary stage in Morhabबादी Park that matches the size of the original, ensuring the quality and safety of the stage, and improving the clarity of the LED screen for broadcasting. Other key tasks involve printing and distributing invitation cards, cleaning and honoring statues of freedom fighters, setting up seating arrangements, arranging transport for VIP guests, establishing medical and sanitation facilities, repairing pathways, and securing uninterrupted electricity.
Live telecast arrangements and temporary enclosures for media are also being finalized. Sound amplification will be handled by the Information and Public Relations Department. Officials are also focusing on maintaining law and order, fire safety, traffic management, and parking.
The parade, a major attraction, is being rehearsed closely. Participating contingents include CRPF, Jharkhand Armed Police, IRBN, District Police, Fire Brigade, Home Guard, and NCC units. Similar arrangements are being made for events across districts.
