Ranchi District Officials Assess Loan Performance and Direct Banks

Ranchi, Jharkhand – District officials recently held a meeting to review loan performance across various banks and schemes. The meeting, led by Deputy Commissioner Manjunath bhajanthri, focused on improving credit-deposit ratios and ensuring efficient loan distribution. Key discussions included credit-deposit ratios, Annual Credit Plans, MSME loans, and the performance of Self-Help Groups.

A key focus was on boosting credit-deposit ratios, particularly for banks lagging behind the national average. Banks were urged to actively pursue government schemes to enhance their ratios. There was also scrutiny of Micro Units Development & Refinance Agency (MUDRA) loans and a push for proper Aadhaar-enabled bank account linking to simplify the process for beneficiaries.

The meeting highlighted the importance of collaboration between banks, local authorities, and community groups, particularly through Self-Help Groups and RUDSETI to empower individuals and drive economic growth.
