Ranchi is gearing up for a month of festivities during Saawan, with a series of grand evening aartis and cultural events taking place at the iconic Pahili Baba Temple. The core of these celebrations revolves around the four upcoming Mondays, each dedicated to different divine forms – Shiva, Rama, Krishna, and Durga. Organizers have announced a detailed schedule of events, including a spectacular evening aarti, followed by the distribution of kheer mahaभोग (sweet pudding) to devotees. The highlight is the ‘Bhole’ race, a vibrant relay race from the स्वर्णरेखा river to the temple, scheduled for the second Monday. A grand maha Bhandara will also take place on the fourth Monday.
