New Guest House for VIPs in Ranchi – State Faces Questions on Tender Process
Ranchi’s New VIP Guest House Unveiled
A new guest house, costing six crore rupees, has been built at Raj Bhavan in Ranchi for VIP guests. The upkeep of the guest house will now be managed like a five-star hotel, with the state government spending over one crore rupees annually on its maintenance. Located near Raj Bhavan, the guest house offers comfortable accommodation for important visitors.
The state government intends to hand over the upkeep to BVG India Limited without a tender process. A proposal to do so has been sent to the cabinet. The guest house features nine rooms and two suites, and the state will spend more than one crore rupees annually on its care, excluding food services. BVG India Limited, known for managing prestigious institutions across the country, plans to employ around thirty personnel for the guest house's operations, with associated salary and operational costs to be covered by the government.
