Ranchi Gets Major Traffic Relief with New Flyover and Road Opening
Ranchi residents are set to benefit from a significant upgrade to their road network. Union Minister for Road Transport and Highways, Nitin Gadkari, will be officially inaugurating the newly constructed Ratu Road Elevated Corridor and the 22-kilometer road between Sankhya and Khujuri on July 3rd. This project, costing around ₹1100 crore, promises to ease traffic congestion on Ratu Road and improve connectivity to छत्तीसगढ़, उत्तर प्रदेश, and मध्य प्रदेश. The inauguration ceremony will be held at the Piska More to Raj Bhavan Flyover ground.
The event will also feature Jharkhand Chief Minister Hemant Soren, alongside Union Minister of Defence and Rajya Sabha MP Sanjay Seth, who addressed the media, emphasizing the importance of this development. Concerns were raised regarding alleged revenue collection practices by municipal bodies, specifically the proposed 5% electricity surcharge.
