Preparations for the 2025 Shravani Mela Reviewed

Ranchi: Minister of Urban Development and Housing, Higher and Technical Education, Tourism, Art & Culture, Sports and Youth Affairs, Suddivy Kumar, chaired a review meeting to assess the preparations for the upcoming 2025 Shravani Mela. The meeting was held at the Devghar Convention Centre’s auditorium with Devghar DC Naman Priyesh Lakda and Dumka DC Abhijit Sinha present.

During the meeting, the minister informed that the mela will be held from July 11th to August 9th. He emphasized the importance of ensuring seamless and secure water offerings and a positive experience for pilgrims. He also highlighted the need to restrict VIP darshans (IPP and BBIP) during the entire period to avoid inconvenience.

The review focused on detailed departmental preparations including electricity supply, road construction, municipal corporation, public relations, drinking water and sanitation, tourism, art and culture, sports and youth affairs, health, building management and police departments. The government plans to utilize modern technologies such as AI-based integrated control rooms, 200 cameras, chatbot information feedback and helpline, AI-based traffic management, drones, face recognition cameras, QR-based complaint systems and digital pavilions.

The administration will also implement measures for crowd control, security, traffic management, and establish a convenient route for pilgrims. Focus is on providing pilgrims with comfortable accommodations, restrooms, drinking water, and waste management facilities.
