India’s Diplomatic Push: थरूर's Mission Yields Positive Results

Congress MP Shashi थरूर led a five-nation diplomatic mission, aiming to clarify India’s position following Operation Sindhur. The team visited Guyana, Panama, Colombia, and Brazil, as well as Washington D.C., engaging with key political figures and stakeholders. The core goal was to address international concerns and demonstrate India's firm stance regarding sensitive international matters. This mission was a crucial step in India's strategy to connect with the international community after the operation.

Key outcomes included Colombia shifting its stance on Pakistan, reflecting the seriousness with which India's position was received globally. There was a clear emphasis on India's refusal to engage in any form of mediation in Pakistan-related issues. The team utilized a strategy of measured communication and restraint, effectively countering misinformation and highlighting the complex nature of the situation. Notably, थरूर directly addressed concerns with US Vice President, Jared F. Kennedy Vance, firmly rejecting any comparisons to a domestic dispute.

The delegation comprised of Shashi थरूर, Sarfaraz Ahmed, Ganti Harish Madhur Balayogi, Shashank Mani Tripathi, Bhubaneswar Kalita, Milind Deora, तेजस्वी सूर्या and India's former ambassador to the US, Tarunjit Singh Sandhu, and were working on delivering a comprehensive report to Prime Minister Narendra Modi.
