Rahul Gandhi Accuses Election Commission of Fraud
New Delhi – Congress leader Rahul Gandhi has leveled serious accusations against the Election Commission of India, alleging widespread fraud and manipulation in the electoral process, particularly in the Karnataka state elections.
Speaking at a press conference in New Delhi, Gandhi presented evidence of alleged systematic efforts to erase votes from the electoral rolls, citing instances in the Aland constituency of Karnataka, where over 6,000 votes were reportedly deleted, and the Maharashtra Rajura constituency. He claims the Election Commission is deliberately shielding individuals involved in these manipulations.
Gandhi asserted that the Commission knows who is behind these operations but is refusing to disclose this information, effectively protecting those attempting to undermine the democratic process. He highlighted ongoing investigations by the Karnataka Crime Investigation Department (CID), which has sent 18 letters to the Election Commission requesting basic information, including destination IP addresses and OTP trails, but the Commission remains unresponsive.
The accusations come amidst claims of fraudulent applications being submitted using out-of-state mobile numbers, and the use of software to systematically delete votes. Gandhi stated his intention is to expose the reality of vote manipulation, a 'nuclear bomb' impacting our democracy, and warned that the Prime Minister may not be visible to the nation after this revelation.
